HYPERTROPHIC CARDIOMYOPATHY TODAY: ADVANCES IN DIAGNOSIS, RISK STRATIFICATION, AND TREATMENT (S 2416)

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is the most common inherited heart disease and a leading cause of sudden cardiac death in young individuals and athletes. Over the last decade, major advances in cardiovascular imaging, genetic testing, and risk stratification have profoundly improved our ability to diagnose the disease, identify high-risk patients, and tailor management strategies.
At the same time, the therapeutic landscape has expanded beyond traditional approaches, with novel pharmacological therapies and refined interventional and surgical techniques offering new opportunities for personalized care.
This meeting aims to provide an updated overview of current advances in the diagnosis, risk stratification, and treatment of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, highlighting how recent evidence is reshaping clinical practice and improving patient outcomes
