CARDIOGENIC SHOCK: HOW TO IMPROVE SURVIVAL? FROM CS AWARENESS TO OPTIMAL MANAGEMENT IN THE CICU (S 2414)

Cardiogenic shock remains the leading cause of in-hospital mortality in acute cardiac conditions, despite advances in revascularization and mechanical circulatory support. Survival depends not only on technology, but on timely recognition, structured logistics, appropriate device selection, and meticulous monitoring within the CICU. This symposium brings together international experts to address the full continuum of cardiogenic shock care—from early identification and system organization to advanced mechanical support, complication prevention, and adjunctive therapies such as catheter ablation. By integrating evidence, practical experience, and multidisciplinary perspectives, the session aims to translate awareness into optimized management and improved patient survival.
